In our new open for HBO, the dark, stale hours of training and hardship collide with the electric burlesque of fight night. A broadcast-signal visual treatment summons television spirits from a bygone NTSC era, and the cut pays tribute to the sport’s long and surreal relationship with the tube. Boxing’s image seems in a constant state of gritty flux, but the world’s most challenging sport refuses to stay down. We created a complete broadcast branding package in tandem with the open.
